In a somewhat remarkable but certainly very generous turn local Los Angeles Parishes' are assisting the Archdiocese is responding to a 720 million dollar liability for the Priest Sex Abuse scandal.  While local Parishes played little if any role in harboring pedophile priests the Archdiocese has reached out to their flock to assist in responding to the costs associated with the settlement.  While it is certainly understandable that Parishes want to assist it seems unfair to impose on the Parishioners the costs so calculably established by the Archdiocese own negligence and neglect.  There certainly will be more to come.
